Description
NA The solicitation number for this project has been changed from DACW41-03-R-0003 to DACW41-03-B-0006 so that the procurement may be made by competitive bidding procedures. Milford Project Office is the largest lake in Kansas, with a shoreline of 163 miles a t multipurpose pool. Recreational development is extensive. Eleven parks and access areas, managed by or leased from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, are conventiently locatedaround the reservoir. Park areas at Milford offer a wide variety of recreatio n facilities including boat launching ramps, campgrounds, full service marinas, picnic areas, sand and swimming beaches. The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks operate a fish hatchery and a conservation education center in the Outlet area below the d am. Many routine maintenance items are contracted to the private sector. Mowing, refuse collection, and facility cleanup are just a few of the activities that are performed by private contractors for the Corps. The contractor shall provide herbicide app lication services to areas at various locations around Milford Lake Project. This solicitation will result in a firm fixed price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Award Term contract. The award of the contract will be based on competitive bidding pr ocedures. Award will be made to the most responsive responsible bidder with the lowest price. The Solicitation will be issued on or about February 24, 2003 with receipt of bids March 26, 2003. This is a 100% small business set-aside. The period of perfor mance under this contract will be for a base period plus two one-year option periods with up to three additional award term years that may be awarded to the contractor based on performance. NOTE: Award term periods will be awarded to the contractor nonc ompetitively based on good performance as set forth in the Award Term Plan. The Award Term Plan will be an attachment of the solicitation and the resultant contract. The award term periods may be awarded during the life of teh contract as specified in th e solicitation and resultant contract.
