Description

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to issue a solicitation for services to organize and catalogue historic collections. These requirements, in general, provide for: compilation of an inventory of the BEP?s historic collections using a museum-oriented collections management database, to include computer images, descriptive data, documentation, location, and other pertinent data, and the simultaneous reorganization, as needed, of the collections. It is important to note this work is museum related and not archives related in its methodology for the Washington, D.C. facility. The BEP anticipates issuing a solicitation on or before February 18, 2003 for a Firm Fixed-Priced type contract with a base period and four option periods. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the Federal Business Opportunities Website at www.eps.gov. Interested sources may submit a written request to be placed on the source list so they can be notified when the solicitation has been released. Firms may fax or e-mail their requests to (202) 874-2200 or Christina.tayman@bep.treas.gov. Telephone requests will not be honored. All responsible sources may submit an offer upon receipt of the solicitation, which, shall be considered by the Agency. This procurement will be solicited on a full and open competition basis in accordance with FAR part 6. The applicable North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAIC) (formerly SIC) code is 541611 with a corresponding $6 million dollars in average annual sales receipts.
