Description
PROJECT TITLE: Vegetation Salvage, Joshua Tree National Park, Twentynine Palms, CA; Request for Proposal (RFP) / Solicitation Number N8336030021. The National Park Service requires a firm, fixed-price services contract for one contractor to furnish all labor, materials (unless otherwise specified), equipment and expertise necessary to perform all operations required for the successful completion of the above named project. This job is in conjuction with a Federal Highways Project on Route 12, from Keys View Junction to GeoTour Junction. Work includes, but is not limited to: (1) the salvage of approximately 366 large and small specimen plants; immediately transplanting approximately 30% of these to new permanent locations; and (2) placing the remaining plants in boxes and pots, then maintaning, watering, monitoring, and preserving them for a period of 6 to 12 months before transplanting them to new, permanent locations. The NAICS code for this project is 115112; the small business size standard is $6 million. Contract duration is 90 days from the start date for the initial salvage and transplant, including boxing and potting of the plants to be stored; and 12 months maximum duration for storage and final transplanting of stored plants. This RFP is a "Best Value" procurement where price is equal in importance to the offeror's capability. This procurement is unrestricted inviting full and open competition. The National Park Service welcomes and encourages the participation of small, disadvantaged, and women owned business enterprises. An organized site visit will be announced in Section L of the Solicitation for all interested parties. Time, dateand place will be specified when posted on electronic commerce on or about February 20, 2003 at www.fedbizopps.gov. (See FEDBIZOPPS search help, below) Responses will be due approximately 30 days following. Search Fedbizopps by referencing the solicitation number (above), Department of the Interior, National Park Service. The RFP, plans, specificatons and all attachments will be available ONLY on the FedBizOpps website, and individual requests for solicitation packages will NOT be accepted.
