- The Department of the Interior, Minerals Management Service intends to make a firm-fixed price, sole source award to St. Jude Medical S.C., Inc. Govworks/DOI intends to issue a Purchase Order in accordance with FAR 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This non-competitive action is being issued by GovWorks under the authority of the Department of Interior Franchise Fund on behalf of the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, MD. The medical center has a requirement for the Atlas DR Implantable Cardioverter/Defibrillator. The customer will purchase four (4) 6515 Defibrillator System and will include one each of the following: Model V-240- Atlas DR Implantable Defibrillator, Tendril SDX Atrial lead - Model 1488TC-52 - Defibrillator Lead - Model 1559-65. The minimum requirements are as followed: A) Must have the ability to deliver up to thirty-six (36) Joules of Energy when defibrillating for VT or VF, B) Multiprogrammable antitachyarrhythmia device with morphology discrimination plus SVT/VT discrimination and backup Bradycardia Pacing, C) Improved Longevity, D) DC Fiber VF induction for defibrillation threshold testing, E) Available in both active and non-active can configurations, F) Thinnest, dual chamber tiered therapy ICD, and G) Must have a volume no greater than 37cc, weight - 76g and a thickness of 12mm. This is the only system available in high voltage delivery system and backup Bradycardia Pacing. Currently, this is the only device on the market that has been determined to meet the requirements of this facility for a specific group of patients suffering from Ventricular Tachycardia and/or ventricular fibrillation. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only. This is NOT a request for competitive quotes. However, all information received within five (5) days of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
