Description

CORRECTION: The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) intends to renegotiate with IBM Corporation on a sole source basis for technical support and maintenance on proprietary software installed on IBM mainframe computers located in Kansas City, MO. The acquisition is to renew the existing software maintenance agreement. The agreement will include product upgrades, telephone help desk support, engineering services, and training on software, which is strictly proprietary in nature. The products are maintained and upgraded by IBM. These products are currently being used by the National Technology Center, Federal Aviation Administration, and/or other USDA agencies. The period of performance is for a base year, and four - one year option periods. Negotiations will be conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Source meets the needs of the Department. This is not a Request for Proposal. No solicitation document exists. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to perform these services. Please submit your email response to the Contracting Officer no later than February 13, by 3:00 pm, to: shirley.fortune@usda.gov.
