Description

02/03/2003- By David P Hershey SPAWAR SYSTEMS CENTER, SAN DIEGO intends to negotiate a sole-source contract modification with Georgia Technology Applied Research Corporation (GTARC), Atlanta, GA under the existing contract N66001-01-C-8043. This action will extend the period of performance through 01 January 2006 . The estimated increase in the contract total is $600,000.00. This action is sole source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The objective to the modification of this completion type contract is to assist the Government in the development of computer software standards that define a Morphware Stable Interface for emerging polymorphous computing architectures by conducting a Morphware Stable Interface Facilitation effort. This modification is a continuation of research in direct support of the original contract. This is not a request for proposal and no solicitation is available. Questions concerning this sole source modification may be directed to David Hershey at david.hershey@navy.mil. Use of any other source for this modification would result in duplication of cost and time to develop the technical capability within another contractor(s) workforce resulting in substantial duplication of cost that is not expected to be recovered through competition.
