Description

Project consists of the construction of an educational health occupation building at the Mingo Jobs Corps Civilian Conservation Center, Puxico, Missouri. Contractor will be required to furnish all labor, tools, equipment, materials, superintendence, and transportation including, but not limited to, the base building construction, exterior closure, interior walls, mechanical and plumbing systems and fixtures, and all electrical work as specified. Bidders are informed that funds available for this project may be insufficient for all the desires features. So that the government may obtain the most desirable features of the work within the limits of its funds, award may be made to the bidder having the lowest total of the base and a combination of the following additive/deductive bid items listed in order of priority: (1) interior doors, (2) interior windows, (3) interior floor and wall finishes, (4) toilet compartments and toilet and bath accessories, (5) fire-protection specialties and identifying devices, and (6) folding panel partitions. The estimated magnitude of this requirement in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range is between $250,000 and $500,000. This procurement is issued unrestricted under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, Public Law 100-656, and is not set-aside exclusively for small business concerns. For information purposes, the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 233310, Manufacturing and Industrial Building Construction, with a size standard of $28.5 million. Solicitation packages will be available on first-come-first-served free of charge approximately 02/19/2003 with bid opening occurring on or about 03/21/2003.
