Description

NA The Ft. Pierce beach project is located just south of Ft. Pierce Inlet. It includes the placement of approximately 406,500 cubic yards on 3,000 feet of beach just south of Ft. Pierce Inlet. The project includes one option (Option A) over this portion of beach. The base bid includes the placement of 313,000 cubic yards on about 2,200 feet of beach and Option A requires 93,500 cubic yards on the remaining 800 feet. The berm width varies along the project at Elevation 10.6 mlw and the construction slope of the fill is 1 vertical on 10 horizontal. The material for the Ft. Pierce segment will come from an offshore borrow area 3.5 nautical miles southeast of the project site. Construction Performance Period for Base and Option A must be completed by 30 May 2 003. The magnitude of construction for this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The solicitation will be issued on or about 18 February 2003 and bid opening will be due on or about 21 March 2003. Solicitation will be issued in electronic f ormat only. Coast Guard Certification will be required in accordance with the Seagoing Barge Act. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered. There will be a price preference for identified HUBZ one small business concerns that comply with the requirements of the solicitation as stipulated in FAR 19.1307.
