- Description
- The Interpretive Programs Office, Library of Congress seeks quotes/proposals from design firms specializing in museum exhibitions for an upcoming temporary exhibition entitled Rivers, Edens, Empires: Lewis & Clark and the Revealing of America scheduled to open at the Library of Congress on July 24, 2003 and run through November 29, 2003. The exhibition will contain approximately 250 objects including maps, artifacts, manuscripts, books, etc. assembled to explore almost a century of exploration of North America. An interactive component will be integrated into the exhibition, but will be prepared by a separate contractor. The exhibition will occupy a 6000-square-foot historic space in the Library?s Thomas Jefferson Building. Quote submissions should include examples of past projects of similar scale and scope in addition to addressing the criteria in the Library of Congress solicitation. This is a combined synopsis solicitation. The closing date for this combined synopsis/solicitation is close of business, Februrary 14, 2003.
