- RFI Soliciting only PES Schedule holders requesting a Statement of Interest in submitting a proposal and request they provide 3 specific examples of projects involving precision approach studies which includes the replacement and installation of ATCALS. Area of Interest. Air Traffic Control and Landing systems (ATCALS) GPN -22 Transmitter Elements Replacement/Upgrade Study. The contractor will be required to provide feasibility, cost, risk, and timeline analysis for a transmitter replacement to include engineering design, parts list, specifications, manufacturing design, installation plan, and test plan prior to manufacturing the actual replacement. Engineering study to analyze existing AN/GPN-22 transmitter components and sub-assemblies for component suitability in existing subassemblies (i.e. electrical, heat, moisture, vibration, corrosion characteristics). Identify and make recommendations for improving circuit card performance and increasing sub-assembly life cycle. Make recommendations for modifications to sub-assemblies and components. Recommend and identify replacement parts; processes; or procedures to repair, modify, and maintain circuit cards and major assemblies. The Goal: Reduce Maintenance requirements, improve life span of sub-assemblies, and reduce failure rates of components. Special Interest Items that must be analyzed: Fault Detector Circuit Card, 480913-2 Static Frequency Converter, 952584-2 Driver, Amplifier Circuit Card, 952589-3 Driver Circuit Card, 952585-1 Electron Tube, Traveling Wave, 456412-1 Synchronizer Circuit Card, 480190-2 Under/Over Voltage Protection Assembly, G164732-1 High Voltage (-24KV) Power Supply, 480158-1 GPN-22 is a Precision Approach Radar (PAR) comprised of an equipment shelter housing radar and associated communications and electronics equipment, an external Antenna System, and remote operator position equipment. Experience: Feasibility study on precision approach and installation of Air Traffic Control Landing Systems Estimated dollar value - $4 - $5 million Questions from prospective offerors will be entertained only after they establish required experience.
