Description
Fleet & Industrial Supply Center, San Diego, intends to award a firm fixed-price contract for research scientist at the Naval Medical Center, San Diego, California. The SIC is 8731; NAICS is 541710; Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees. Services required for a base year beginning May 1, 2003, and two one-year option periods. The following is the minimum experience required for this procurement: MD or PhD degree in biological or physiological sciences; 2 years experience at post-doctoral research experience level; participation in grant writing where the submitted grant was successfully funded; experience in audiologic and vestibular physiologic testing of small animals; experience with small animal surgery especially inner and middle ear surgical operations; experience with performance of histologic evaluation of tissues including immunohistochemistry; experience in inner ear neuroanatomy; experience with preparation of specimens for electron microscopy, including ultrathin sectioning for transmission electron microscopy; documented computer expertise; proven publication track record in innerear physiology or clinical medicine. This solicitation is issued as a 100% small business set-aside. All responsible small business sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be posted by February 21, 2003 on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web site below. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to independently review the referenced web link frequently for updates to any and all documents. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the so licitation and amendments (if any). The Government will not issue paper copies of these documents. Central Contractor Registration (CCR) is mandatory for offerors (see CCR information on web link http://www.ccr2000.com/). Numbered note number one applies.
