- The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound requires the following Boston Royalflex 1193 Petrolium Hose per IPI 0505-904A Appendix "F" or equal for Puget Sound Naval Shipyard: Seventy-Five (75) each of One and One-Half Inch I.D. X 2 Inch O.D. X 50' LG weight of 0.80 LBS/FT. W/O Fittings. Smooth Exterior with no layer separation between Nitrile Tube and Cover. 100% Interwoven Polyester & Helical Wire Reinforced, Homogeneously Constructed, Color Black, Bend Radius 6 Inch (152MM). Hose to be coupled with male and female virgin Brass Cam-Locks (Recast Brass is not Acceptable). Camlocks to be IAW Commercial Item Description (s) A-A-59326/2 & A-A-591326/6. Camlocks to be attached by crimping or swaging of a stainless steel (SS) Ferrule with a minimum length of Two and One-Fourth Inch and a min wall thickness of 0.0625". Seventy-Five (75) each of Two and One-Half Inch I.D. X 3 Inch O.D. X 50' LG Weight of 1.34 Lbs/Ft. W/O Fittings, Smooth Exterior with no layer separation between Nitrile Tube and Cover. 100% Interwoven Polyester & Helical Wire Reinforced, Homogeneously Constructed, Color Black, Bend Radius 10 Inch (254MM) Hose to be coupled with male and female virgin Brass Cam Locks (Recast Brass is not Acceptable). Camlocks to be IAW Commercial Item Description (s) A-A-59326/2 & A-A-591326/6. Camlocks to be attached by crimping or swaging of a stainless steel (SS) Ferrule with a minimum length of Three and One-Fourth Inch and a min wall thickness of 0.0625". Forty (40) each of Four Inch I.D. X Four and One-Half Inch O.D. X 50' LG. Weight of 2.72 Lbs./Ft. W/O Fittings. Smooth Exterior with no layer separation between Nitrile Tube and Cover. 100% Interwoven Polyester & Helical Wire Reainforced, Homogeneously Constructed, Color Black, Bend Radius 16 Inch (406 MM). Hose to be coupled with male and female virgin Brass Cam Locks (Recast Brass is not Acceptable). Camlocks to be IAW Commercial Item Description (s) A-A-59326/2 & A-A-591326/6. Camlocks to be attached by crimping or swaging of a stainless steel (SS) Ferrule with a minimum length of Four and One-Half Inch and a min wall thickness of 0.0625". Each hose to be marked with the words "OIL SERVICE " 1 Inch high every 20 ft. Each hose to be assigned a vendor serial number and permanently marked on Ferrule and visible. Each hose to be crush and kink certified for 300 PSI working pressure; 1200-PSI min burst pressure. Each hose must pass a 225-PSI pressure test (without any leaks or deformations and no layer separation) with written documentation and signature of the tester and witness corresponding to vendor serial number . Reference to the 225-PSI Test must not be visible on the outside of the hose. Each hose to be certified to the requirement of the U.S. Coast Guard for transfer of oil over water. Delivery to be made to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard fifteen (15) days after award of contract. When issued, the RFQ will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link "www.neco.navy.mil". It is anticipated that the RFQ will be issued on or about 18 February 2003, with offers due on or about 26 February 2003. The procedures of FAR Part 12, Commercial Acquisition will be utilized. All offerors wishing to submit an offer, are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website (WinZIP or other unzipping software is required) and to frequently monitor that site for any amendments to the RFQ. Interested parties may utilize www.fedbizopps.gov and request an E-mail notification by clicking on the "FedBizOpps Vendor" tab then "Acquisition Notification service" then "register to receive notification by solicitation number." By registering with this service, you should receive notification as to when the solicitation has been uploaded to the NECO website. PLEASE NOTE: FISC PUGET SOUND DOES NOT GUARANTEE THIS NOTICE. OFFERORS ARE STILL RESPONSIBLE FOR DOWNLOADING THEIR OWN COPY OF THE SOLICITATION ON THE NECO WEBSITE. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. An email request to brian_r_begley@puget.fisc.navy.mil" will be accepted only in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. No bidders list will be maintained by this office. No paper copies of the RFQ and/or amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to electronically posted solicitations or quotes and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals or quotes may render your proposal or quote nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
