Description
SCOPE OF REQUIREMENT: The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) requires guest rooms, meeting rooms, food and beverages, audio visual equipment, business center services and related services of a qualified hotel in the Phoenix, AZ metropolitan area for its Credit Rating and Scoring Models Conference. The conference will be held for approximately three days during one of the two following periods: January 14 - 16, 2004 or January 7 - 9, 2004. The estimated number of sleeping rooms per night is 165 each for two nights, and 55 for the first and last nights. The meeting space requirements for the three days include, but are not limited to, one general session for 165 classroom style, one office, registration/refreshment break area, and a room for food and beverage events. The proposed food functions include continental breakfasts, luncheons, dinner, and a reception. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: The hotel must 1) be compliant with the Hotel and Motel Fire Safety Act of 1990, 15 U.S.C. 2201 et seq, (Public Law 101-391) and hold a FEMA certification number; 2) be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C. Section 12101 et seq. (ADA); and 3) have one of the following ratings: First class or higher per the Official Hotel Guide; three crowns or higher per the OAG Business Travel Planner; three diamonds or higher per AAA; or two stars or higher per the Mobil Travel Guide. HOW TO ACQUIRE A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION: OCC anticipates issuing the solicitation on or about February 10, 2003, at www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation will contain the details of the rooms and services required by the hotel, the instructions for submitting a quote, and how the quotes will be evaluated. This will NOT be a small business set-aside but a full and open competition, using simplified acquisition procedures under the Test Program for Certain Commercial Items in Subpart 13.5. All responsible hotels may submit a quote that will be considered by the OCC. OCC anticipates awarding the contract in April 2003. *****
