Description
S AFFAIRS -- A76 STUDY OF THE VBA PROPERTY MANAGEMENT SERVICES RFP #101-09-01 DUE JUNE 29, 2001. POC Darrell Cooper, Sr. Contracting Officer (202) 273-7009 or Virginia Greene, Contract Specialist (202) 273-6180. The Department of Veteran's Affairs (VA) has released the A-76 Performance Work Statement (PWS) and posted it to the VA web page at http://www.va.gov/oa&mm/busopp/sols.htm on April 27, 2001.This will be an A-76 competitive solicitation and offerors are encouraged to read the Office of Management & Budget (OMB)A-76 circular which can be accessed at http://www.whitehouse.gov/omb/circulars/.html. There will be no reimbursement for any bid and proposal costs incurred. The Property Management (PM) operation currently is responsible for all VA acquired properties located in the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam, Wake Island, Midway Island, the Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. PM services will include the following types of activities: perform initial custody actions, acquire title, process redemptions, obtain possession, manage properties, market properties (including processing of vendee loan applications). Responses to this CBD notice must be in writing, either faxed, e:mailed, or mailed. No verbal responses will be accepted. There will be a pre-proposal conference scheduled for 23 May 2001 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) Training Academy, 31 Hopkins Plaza, Room G-7 (Ground/ Basement Level), Baltimore, MD 21201. All parties planning to attend the pre-proposal conference are required to notify the Contracting Officer of their intent within five (5) business days from date of this announcement. Notice can be sent via facsimile or e- mail and must include the names of personnel who will be in attendance.
