Description
Air Force Research Laboratory, Sensors Directorate, RF Sensor Technology Division, Reference Sensors and Receiver Applications Branch (AFRL/SNRP ) solicits research proposals for the Real-Time Encoding Processing program. The purpose of this acquisition is to develop and evaluate advanced real time wide-band Electronic Support (ES) radio frequency (RF) receiver encoding/pre-processing/sorting concepts and techniques focused on space and high altitude platforms. The concepts and techniques will be designed to handle the increasing digitization of the modern complex RF signal environment for applications in existing and future ES aerospace systems. The concepts and techniques will stress low power, reconfigurability, modularity, and affordability using advanced digital technologies. Modern complex signals and larger instantaneous coverage present the ES system with larger signal densities and data rates. Detection, deinterleaving and precision parameterization of the signal are significant technical barriers to development of receiver encoding/pre-processing/sorting concepts. Payoff to the Air Force will be the development of reduced size, weight and power of RTEP technologies, which can be inserted into new space and high altitude platforms. In addition, these technologies, where feasible, can be retrofitted into current deployed AF systems. Interested offerors may view and/or download the full BAA solicitation by accessing the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOps) homepage at http://www.eps.gov/. Direct questions to the Contracting point of contact identified in the announcement.
