Description

The Air Armament Center (AAC) at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a requirement for the Hood and Duct Cleaning Services. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials supervision, and services necessary in connection with the cleaning of hoods and ducts on Eglin Air Force Base. Eglin Air Force Base consists of the main Base, Auxiliary fields, ranges, and test sites. Period of performance will be one year 1 Mar 03-28 Feb 04 with 4 option years. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 561720. Firms responding to this announcement should indicate whether they are or are not a small business concern or a small disadvantaged business concern as defined in FAR 52.219-1. The Air Force reserves the right to consider a small business set-aside based on responses hereto. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program director or Contracting Officer, but communicates Contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Matters of a routine or administrative nature concerning this acquisition should not be addressed to the Ombudsman but rather to the Contracting Officer, Contract Specialist, or the Program manager previously identified.
