- This notice is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). NASA GSFC requires space flight qualified Near Infrared (NIR) Focal Plane Arrays (FPAs) for the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) Integrated Science Instrument Module (ISIM). In accordance with FAR 15.201, NASA GSFC is providing a draft copy of its "JWST ISIM NIR FPA Requirements Document" to industry for information purposes. This document details the functional, performance, and interface requirements and goals for the required FPAs. Comments on the draft requirements document are not mandatory. Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit comments or questions. All comments and questions must be received by close of business February 5, 2003. NASA GSFC will review all comments and questions for possible incorporation into the document, if appropriate, but use of any comments received is at the discretion of the Government. In accordance with FAR 52.215-3, Solicitation for Information and Planning Purposes (APR 1984), NASA GSFC does not intend to award a contract based on this release, or to otherwise pay for information solicited and provided. The requirements document, and any other related documents, will be available over the Internet. These documents will be in Microsoft Word (.doc) format and will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/GSFC Business Opportunities page is http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=51 It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for future releases related to this requirement. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the requirements document and any other related documents.
