Description
This information is for solicitation SP0100-02-Q-4186. The item is Coats, Woman?s MC P/W GAB Dark Blue, Shade 2312. The purchase quantity is 672 with no additional options. The applicable NSN for this procurement is 8410-01-412-9697(s). The specification is MIL-C-29453B dated October 3,1994. The pattern is dated November 9, 1994. The destination is New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. There are three deliveries. The delivery period is scheduled to begin 120 days after the date of award. This is a Best Value acquisition. The following factor will be utilized : Experience Past Performance. This solicitation will be issued as a Total Small Business Set-Aside that will result in a firm fixed price contract. All materials used in the fabrication of the end item are to be furnished by the contractor with exception of the basic fabric Cloth, Broadcloth, Scarlet, MC Shade 2501 NSN: 8305-01-209-6542 and Cloth, Gabardine Poly/Wool Type II Class 12 Dark Blue, MC Shade 2312, 10.6 oz Sponged Mothproofed NSN: 8305-01-248-0971 which will be provided as GFM. The storage facility for the cloths is Albany, GA. The Government does not intend to use FAR Part 12 for this acquisition. Reference Numbered Notes 1, 9, and 26.Important Note on Foreign Content: The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as ?The Berry Amendment?) impose restrictions on the DoD?s acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and ?specialty metals? (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies. It is implemented in the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) at Part 225.7002. Availability of solicitations, FAR 5.102(d) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitations in paper form. Offeror should register to receive notification of this solicitation. Copies of this solicitation can be found on the DLA Procurement Gateway (Gateway) at http://progate.daps.mil/home after January 21, 2003. From the Gateway home page, select ?Search RFQs? from the left-hand sidebar. Then choose the RFQ you wish to view. Amendments to this solicitation WILL NOT be available via the Gateway. In order to receive notification of amendments to this solicitation you must E-MAIL the Contract Specialist, listed below under Point of Contact, with the name and address of prospective offeror, phone and fax number and a point of contact. Please reference solicitation number in all e-mail correspondence. An unsuccessful offer may result if prospective offeror FAILS to e-mail the Contract Specialist of their intent to offer on this solicitation. In addition, you can enter DSCP C&T FSCs and NSNs to receive notification of RFQs.
