Description
NA Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the U.S. Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center, Natick Contracting Division, Kansas Street, Natick, MA on behalf of the United States Army ? Soldier System Center, Natick, MA intends to negotiate and award a contract on a sole source basis with Sonetronics Inc., 1718 H Street, PO Box L, West Belmar, NJ 07719 a small business concern. This effort is to provide the Government with a total quantity of 4,050 each of the United States Marine Corps (USMC) Advanced Combat Vehicl e Crewman (ACVC) Modified Communications Kits (P/N ACVCH-MCK-002). These Modified Communications Kits are the only headset kits that meet all of the following requirements: They integrate into the standard USMC Advanced Combat Vehicle Crewman Helmet (ACVCH ) ballistic shell utilizing the same adjustment and attachment components (P/N ACVCH-MCK-DEI-1580-SD); they meet the UMSC combat vehicle crewman size and fit criteria utilizing slow recovery, conformal fitting, temperature sensitive foam, coated with a fil m to prevent water absorption and covered with a liner to absorption sweat, while providing impact protection IAW ANSI Z90.1, specifically a drop velocity requirement of 10 fps with G-forces not exceeding attenuation impact energy of no single maximum valu e to exceed 90-G?s and the average of the impact results shall not exceed 75-G?s (P/N ACVCH-MCK-BLU-95080-6C); they attenuate combat vehicle noise to a maximum of 85-dBA for a 10-hour mission in an M1 Abrams and/or Amphibious Assault Vehicle (AAV) at 110 dBA, IAW ANSI/ASA S12.42-1995; they work with standard VIC-1 and VIC-2 combat vehicle intercom communication systems; meet the USMC AAV BN?s operational suitability durable needs including extreme desert heat, and excessive wind blown sand along with salt water exposure and submersion IAW SAE J2334 Saltwater Submersion Surface Standard test.
