- Description
- It is the intent of the Office of Behavioral and Social Sciences Research (OBSSR) to transfer funds to American Educational Research Association (AERA) in support of the Association's effort to continue work on the human subjects issues in behavioral and social sciences research. Previously, the working group has reached out across the social and behavioral science community to gain input and enhanced consideration of human research protection in these sciences and has designed a day-long course focused on human research ethics. Future efforts will be to conduct the course in a number of different venues and to continue the deliberations and prepare reports on human subject issues in behavioral and social sciences such as qualitative research, research in educational settings, and student research. AERA is the only source capable of performing this task based on this being a continuation of existing services being performed by the Executive Director of the Association. OBSSR is providing support to AERA in their mission to complete this project. The period of performance is anticipated for a period of twelve (12) months. The proposed acquisition will be procured under FAR Part 13 - Simplified Acquisitions. This is not a Request for Quotation (RFQ), nor is an RFQ available, however, all responsive sources may submit a proposal in a timely manner which will be considered by OBSSR. Firms interested in responding to the notice must be able to provide the services as specified above. Responses must be in writing and must be received in the office within fifteen (15) calendar days from the publication date of this notice. Proposal must include pricing information and staffing criteria.
