EMAIL ADDRESS: Vincent.Pacchiana@se.amedd.army.mil POC: Mr. Vincent Pacchiana, LPN, Nurse Methods Analyst (706) 787-2094 DESC: This FEDERAL BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY announcement is a notice that TRICARE Regions 3 & 4 that include all DOD Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs) in the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Tennessee are in the process o f standardizing Orthopedic Knee Braces as listed in the subject line above. Companies with current Distribution and Pricing Agreements (DAPAs) with the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia for these items are eligible to participate in the standardization p rocess. Base company criteria for this product line includes but is not limited to the following: must carry a full product line, must provide customer support, in the form of a sales representative for each MTF within TRICARE Regions 3 & 4, must provide clinical support, education programs, and utilization reports, must provide company’s return policy, must provide company’s distribution network, must be able to provide product for all MTFs within TRICARE Regions 3 & 4, and must provide electronic and hard-copy o f proposed pricing and competitive product cross-reference. Base product criteria for this product line includes but is not limited to the following: ACL/PCL Sports Brace-Available in a variety of sizes and limb specific, utilized as ACL/PCL, replaceable and washable pads, roll and glide hinge to mimic the knee’s m otion, adjust flexion and extension in 5 degree increments, and durable exterior shell with proximal thigh band and distal tibia band. Post-op Knee Brace (ROM)-Easily adjustable to fit patients from 5’1” to 6’1”, washable padding, easy to apply and remove, hinge flexion and extension in 5 degree increments and lockable, and drop lock. Osteoarthritis Knee Brace (Unloader)-Adjustable for degree of “unloading”, extra condylar padding, washable liner, extra liner available, and variety of sizes, limb specific, and medial/lateral specific. Neoprene Hinged ACL/PCL Knee Brace-Hinges adjustable for flexion and extension, adjustable medial/lateral uprights, open patella with optional patella tracking pad, washable, and come in a variety of sizes. Neoprene Hinged Knee Brace- Concealed hinges need to be free motion hinges (no adjustments for flexion or extension), hinge will not let the knee hyperextend, open patella cut out with optional tracking pad, minimum of one proximal thigh strap and one distal tibia strap, and washable. Respondents must address all criteria listed above.
