Description

The NIH Library intends to procure on a sole source basis to American Institute of Physics, Ste 1N1, 2 Huntington Quadrangle, Melville, NY 11747, for the non-multisite license to the following journal titles: American Journal of Physics; Annals of biomedical engineering; Chaos; Computing in science and engineering; Journal of Physics A; Physical Review A; Physical Review B; Physical Review Letters; Physical Review E; Physics in Medicine and Biology; Physics Today; Physiological Measurement; PROLA; Review of Scientific Instruments; Reviews of Modern Physics; The Journal of Chemical Physics; The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America. Specifically, the contractor shall provide print copies and/or online access to these titles. The period of performance or subscription will be from January 1, 2003 ? December 31, 2003. American Institute of Physics provides the only legal source for these titles, copyrighted works. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System code (511120) with a size standard of (500 Employees). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice will need to submit technical data, including cost, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product/service. All capability statements received within (15) days after publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. See Numbered Note 22.
