- This Sources Sought Synopsis Number 212-2000-OAMSA01 is being issued by the Contracting Officer to determine whether there are potential commerical sources capable of upgrading the existing Audio Visual equipment in the main conference room at the NIOSH facility in Morgantown, West Virginia Our current system (purchased around 1992) is an AMX AXCESS Control System that houses our sound mixers, slide to video projector, VCRs, etc. In addition we also have a NEC SX6000 Projection system. All of this equipment is housed in a rack in an adjacent room. In the conference room we have touch panel podium that controls all of this equipment, as well as, the lights, volume and window shades. All of the equipment works together with our Polycom Video Conferencing units. We would like to upgrade as much of this equipment as possible with new VCRs, DVD players, wireless speakers, microphones, etc. All of this equipment should be housed in a one unit podium that would be placed in the conference room. The touch panel in the podium should work all of this equipment, as well as, the lights, sound and window shades. Should a solicitation be issued for this requirement in the future, be advised that interested parties would be required to visit the NIOSH site to assess the current system prior to proposing any upgrade. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Organizations that believe they could provide an acceptable upgrade are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notice to the Contracting Officer no later than Friday, January 24, 2003, which demonstrates that they have the expertise and capabilities necessary to meet the stated requirements. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement. Forward evidence of capabilities and supporting information to: Rex S.
