Description
17. The U.S. Coast Guard has decided not to set aside this acquisition for HUBZone concerns, because no HUBZone certified business concerns were responsive within the time frames of the requirement of the sources sought synopsis. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the FEDBIZOPPS web page www.eps.gov/ on or about Feb 3, 2003. Hard copies of the solicitation will be provided only upon written request. Provide all labor, material, equipment and services necessary to perform dry-dock repairs including, but not limited to the following Base Items: (1) Clean and inspect sea bay and associated piping. (2) Inspect Z drive propulsion units. (3) Preserve transducer hull rings. (4) Overhaul and renew valves. (5) Inspect bow thruster tunnel and lower unit. (6) Overhaul anchors and anchor chains. (7) Inspect and test capstan. (8) Preserve buoy deck. (9) Renew draft figures. (10) Preserve chain locker. (11) Provide temporary logistics. (12) Routine Dry-docking. (13) Reinforce transverse and longitudinal webs in EEC void bilge. (14) Repair and test buoy deck sills. (15) Modify fire main system. (16) Modify auxiliary sea water piping. (17) Remove, clean, reinstall, and test the 1, 2, and 3 SSDGs. (18) Install two deck drains in fan room spaces. (19) Inspect, repair, and test hydraulic chain stoppers. (20) Preserve ballast tanks. (21) Clean sewage and gray water collection and holding tanks. (22) Preserve sewage and gray water collection and holding tanks. (23) Inspect, service, and test cross deck winches. Options include, but are not limited to the following items: (1) Condition A, B, or C of Sea Bay. (2) Condition A, B, or C of vessel (Entire U/W Body). (3) Laydays. (4) Provide additional temporary logistics. (5) Composite labor rate. This vessel is a 175-foot coastal buoy tender. Vessel?s homeport is located at 600 8th Ave. SE ST Petersburg, FL 33701-5099. All work will be performed at the contractor?s facility. The performance period will be 70 calendar days with a start date on or about 14 May 2003. The small business size standard is less than 1,000 employees. NAICS Code is 336611 and the SIC is 3731. Trained welders, who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures, shall accomplish all welding and brazing. Drawings are available on CD-ROM, free of charge to contractors. However, a non-refundable charge of $150.00 is required in the form of a certified check or money order payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for printed copies of the drawings. All other referenced documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, Virginia. Vessel is not restricted. Funds are available for this procurement.
