Description
Services of an Architect-Engineer firm with specialized experience in design and construction of Outpatient Surgical Clinic spaces and Office spaces in a medical environment to participate in investigation, design, preparation of working drawings/construction documents, and construction period services for Project No. 596-03-102, =93EXPAND SURGICAL CLINICS, BUSINESS CENTER, CDD=94 at VA Medical Center, Cooper Drive Division, Lexington, KY. Project involves renovation of existing space at CDD to change the inefficient design of existing outpatient surgical clinics (Orthopedics, pre-operative, etc) and to incorporate the Health Administration Service (HAS) business office into vacated space. Project renovates a total of approximately 8,747 departmental gross square feet (DGSF) on the first floor, CDD, between outpatient surgical clinic (approx. 3,238 DGSF) and business center (approx. 5,509 DGSF) functions. Estimated construction cost range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Project drawings will be accomplished in the AutoCad.dwg format; specifications will be accomplished in the Microsoft Word .doc format. Area of consideration is restricted to firms within 100 miles radius of VAMC, Lexington, KY. Interested firms, with required specialization must submit appropriate data described in Numbered Note 24 no later than 3:00 p.m., February 26, 2003. Respondents will be reviewed on the basis of: professional qualifications; specialized experience and technical competence in projects of similar type; ability to accomplish the work in the required timeframe; and past performance on contracts for projects of similar type. With reference to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, this solicitation is issued on an unrestricted basis. North American Industrial Classification System No. 541310, with a size standard of $4 million, is applicable. This is not a Request for Proposals.
