NA PREVIOUS NOTICE POSTED 23 DEC, 2002 IS CHANGED TO READ AS FOLLOWS: Contract Specialist is Mark Ramey, 254-287-3808. Contracting Officer is Robert Reeves, 254-287-2434. The proposed contract is a requirements type contract for paint facility filters for DOL. These filters must meet the standards set by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) which requires the DOL to capture 99.5% of all paint particulates by means of dry filter. The proposed initial contract period is from 1 April 2003 or date of award through 1 year with four (4) one-year option periods. The scope of the contract is to provide final and pre-filter ceiling filters for the paint facility. Acquisition will be conducted under FAR Subparts 12 (Acquisition of Commercial Items) and 15 (Contracting by Negotiation). The type of filters required by the contract are: final filter , 95% rating, size 16 inch x 20 inch x 4inch, Part #332-528-002 (Varicel II) or equivalent; pre-filter, 92% rating, size 16 inch x 20 inch x 2 inch, Part #140-402-500 (Amair 62 Plus Super Pleat) or equivalent. Quantities stated i n the solicitation are estimated. The solicitation action will be a request for proposal (brand name or equal). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 333411. The small business size standard is 500. Solicita tion number DABK15-03-R-0008 (formerly DABK15-03-Q-0010) will be released on or about 13 January 2003 and close on 27 January 2003. The solicitation will be issued electronically and will be available for viewing at the following websites: http://ccmd.hood .army.mil and on the Army Single Face to Industry website at http://abop.monmouth.army.mil. No paper copies of the solicitation will be mailed and telephone requests will not be honored. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registratio n (CCR), accessed via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Contractors must be registered with the IBOP (Interactive Business Opportunities Page) in order to download copies of the particular solicitations and be added to its mailing list. Request all inqui ries regarding the RFP be submitted by electronic mail to Mr. Ramey at Mark.Ramey@hood.army.mil or to Mr. Reeves at Robert.Reeves2@hood.army.mil. Interested offerors who can demonstrate the capability of providing filters that meet TCEQ standards and the s pecifications in the solicitation must respond prior to the closing date of the solicitation to be considered for award.
