Description

NA SEE NOTE 27--100% HUBZONE SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. (Contractors can verify their status as a HUBZONE small business or get additional information concerning this SBA Program at the following website: www.sba.gov/hubzone). Work involves construction of a pproximately 1100 linear feet of sandbag dike to elevation +3.0 feet above mean sea level (MSL), and approximately 1200 linear feet of stone dike to elevations varying from +6.0 feet to +3.0 feet above MSL. Work also includes construction of a spillway ris er and pipe outlet over the sandbag dike, with wood access walkway. The proposed dike construction is located in tidal waters of depths 0 to 5-1/2 feet MSL at an 8-acre site adjacent to and east of marshlands and immediately north of the Wanchese Harbor en trance channel, Wanchese, Dare County, North Carolina. Estimated cost range of this project is $500,000 - $1,000,000. NAICS code is 234990. Small Business size standard is $28.5 million. Plans and specifictions for this solicitation will be issued on C D-ROM ONLY, on or about 1 July 2002 with bid opening on or about 1 August 2002. They will be FREE of charge and should not be returned. Amendments will be made through either diskette, CD-ROM, or hard paper copy. All bid forms, bid bonds, and other docum ents required for bid submittal SHALL BE IN PAPER MEDIUM. Electronic medium for bid submittal SHALL NOT BE ALLOWED.
