- PR Number: FD2020-03-20583 PURPOSE: TO ESTABLISH A FIXED PRICE/QUANTITY CONTRACT FOR REPAIR/UPDATE OF THE ACES II VERNIER ROCKET MOTOR. WORK SHALL BE ACCOMPLISHED IAW APPENDICES A AND C. Contractor shall provide all labor and other parts/materials and equipment to accomplish this effort. Item: 0001: Talley NSN: 1377-01-255-1650ES, P/N: 50436-11 or UPCO NSN: 1377-01-318-1830ES, P/N: 1340-1. Noun: Vernier Rocket Motor. This is a ballistic device and the predomonant material is steel with an explosive charge of 1.10 lbs. The length is 14.13" and the dia is 3.55". It is mechanically initiated. Total Line Item Qty: 380 EA Applicable to: A-10, F-16, F-15, F-117, B1 AND B2 ACFT. Destn: FV2172,Hill AFB,UT.,84056-5707. Delivery - ARO Months: 09 380 EA Item: 0002 Ammunition Data Cards IAW DD Form 1423, Exhibit A Total Line Item Qty: 1 LO Item: 0003 Lot Acceptance Test Report, IAW DD Form 1423, Exhibit B Total Line Item Qty: 1 LO Item: 0004 Depot Maintenance Production Report (AF Form 413) IAW DD Form 1423, Exhibit C Total Line Item Qty: 1 LO Electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. To: TALLEY DEFENSE SYSTEMS, INC., MESA, AZ.,85277-4299. To: UNIVERSAL PROPULSION COMPANY, INC., PHOENIX, AZ.,85027. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), Justification: Supplies (or Services) required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
