Description
The Air Armament Center, PKOBS, intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a Firm-Fixed Price contract as a 100% small business set-aside, under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.5, Test Program for a CW/Pulsed Traveling Wave Tube (TWT) Amplifier. This is a combined synopsis/ solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a quotation is being requested, and a written request for quotation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this announcement is F33TSP23580100, and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334411, with a small business standard size of 750 employees. Please identify your business size in your response based upon this standard, if you meet the Government requirements. The requirement is for an IFI Part #GT188-300 or equivalent CW/Pulsed TWT Amplifier with the following specifications and options: Frequency Range: 8.0 ? 18.0 GHz Pulsed/C. Rated Power: 300 Watts; Typical Power: 350 Watts; VSWR: 2.0:1 input/2.5:1 output; Prime Power: 15 or 230 VAC ? 10%, 50/60 Hz, Single or Three Phase power source; Gain: 55 dB minimum; Input Connector: Type ?N? female; Output Connector: WRD750; Temperature: Operating 0 to +50 ?C; Cooling: Forced air by integral blower; Altitude: Operating up to 10,000 feet; Humidity: Unit shall operate in environments with 95% RH at +40? without condensation; Configuration: Amps are 19? rack mountable; Pulse Input: BNC Female Front Panel; Pulse Width: Up to CW; PRF Range: 0 ? 100 KHz; Duty Cycle: Up to CW; Rise & Fall Time: 15 Nanosec. Nominal; Pulse to Pulse Jitter: ?5 nsec maximum; Pulse Width Jitter: ?5 nsec maximum; Pulse Delay: 200 nsec maximum; VSWR Protection against an output mismatch; Alternate Prime Power; GPIB IEEE 488 Remote Control; Front Panel RF Sample Port (112R for rear panel); Internal Preamplifier to obtain rated output power with an input level of 0dBm or less; RF Input/ Output Connectors on Front Panel (118R for rear panel); Internal Systems Diagnostics; Filament/Beam Elapsed Time Metering in hours; RF Safety Interlock; Forward /Reflected Power Metering on the front panel display. The The amplifier, pulsed, traveling wave tube (TWT) will be delivered on an FOB Destination basis, not later than 17 March 2003, to Eglin AFB, Florida.
