Description

This project is for the installation of Forest Inventory and Analysis (FIA) vegetative survey plots located on the Gifford Pinchot, Olympic and Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forests. FIA plots to be installed during the 2003 field season include approx 49 plots on the Gifford Pinchot, approx 21 plots on the Olympic and approx 66 plots on the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie (of which 11 plots are located in wilderness) for a total of 136 plots. All plot installations are located at previously installed CVS plots. Work includes GPS readings of plots centers with Government supplied GPS units, collection of photo point data and submission of data digitally, collection of field data using Government supplied hand held data recording/editing units and submission of data to the Government in specified electronic format. Estimated issue date of the solicitation is February 2003. Estimated start work date is on or about May 1, 2003. All work to be completed no later than September 30, 2003.
