Description

Title: SHORT RANGE THERMAL IMAGERS-MOBILE Client: 45 SW/SFS This is a synopsis for a commercial acquisition (Reference FAR Part 12 and 13.5). The required items are Short Range Thermal Imagers-Mobile to be used by Security Forces to detect unauthorized personnel and/or terrorist groups within the confines of Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, FL. The Short Range Thermal Imagers need to include a monitor, joystick control box, data and power cable, and commercial vehicle mounting kit. The government intends to make a single award to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offeror. This proposed procurement is a 100% small business set-aside. Solicitation No. F08650-03-T-0039 is issued as a Request for Quotation. It is advertised with a Standard Industrial Code (SIC) of 5043, business size of 500 employees and a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 423410. All current GSA Schedule holders for this item/service are encouraged to provide us with their GSA Schedule number. IMPORTANT: The Department of Defense (DOD) has determined the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be the Single DOD registration for contractors who conduct business or who are interested in conducting business with the Department. You may register in CCR on-line at http://ccr.edi.disa.mil. It is mandatory to obtain a DUNS number prior to registering in CCR by calling Dun & Bradstreet (1-800-333-0505). All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 30 Dec 02 at http://www2.eps.gov/spg/.
