- This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Request For Quotation (RFQ) number is N66604-03-Q-1359. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2000-07. NAICS Code is 334516; size standard is 500 Employees. NUWC Division Newport intends to purchase the following items: Software upgrades and annual maintenance for Molescular Modeling System. One (1) each of the following: C2.BLENDS, C2.CASTEP INTERFACE, C2. CONFORMERS, C2. CRYSTAL BUILDER, C2. DYNAMICS, C2. FORCE FIELD EDITOR, C2. INTERFACE BUILDER, C2. MINIMIZER, C2. OPEN FORCE FIELD, C2. POLYMER BUILDER, C2. POLYMER PROPERTIES, C2. RMMC, C2. SURFACE BUILDER, C2. VISUALIZER MS, MS DPD, MS DPD INTERFACE, MS FORCITE, MS VISUALIZER (1 set containing 5 copies). Also C2.CASTEP (Qty. 2) and C2.SUPER CASTEP GROUP (Qty. 16). Required delivery is one month from date of award, F.O.B. Destination Naval Station Newport; Newport, RI. It is expected to place a purchase order with Accelrys, Inc.. They are the only known source for these items because of the highly specialized nature of the programs and visualizers used in molecular modeling, equipment and items from different manufacturers are incompatible with existing systems. All other timely offers will be considered. Offers for other products must contain complete product information and prices. FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors--Commercial Items applies. Evaluation will be in accordance with FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation--Commercial Items. A completed copy of FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items must be submitted with quote. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions--Commercial Items and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items, and DFARS 52.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items apply.
