Description
The USDA, Forest Service, Southwestern Region, 333 Broadway SE, Albuquerque, NM 87102 solicits the services of Architectural & Engineering (A&E) firms. A&E firms perform services in and around National Forest lands in Arizona, New Mexico and the panhandles of Texas and Oklahoma. The Government intends to award one (1) A&E contract from this solicitation. The Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract for mechanical, electrical and plumbing A&E services with up to four optional years. The option years are subject to availability of funds. The annual minimum per year will be $500.00, with a maximum of $500,000.00 for all years. PROJECT INFORMATION: The purpose of the contract is to provide Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) A & E services including, but not limited to, the design of MEP systems of USDA Forest Service facilities. It is anticipated that the dollar value of the project will be very small in nature, and the requirements will be very sporadic during the course of the year. In addition, project work may include system evaluations, system testing, site lighting, condition inspection and energy conservation. Related services incidental to the contract may include other engineering and AutoCAD drafting services necessary to complete the project requirements. The evaluation factors are: 1. Specialized Design Experience. Provide examples of specific knowledge and experience related to the specific professional discipline of work. 2. Past Performance on Contracts. Describe past performance on Government and private contracts that relates to the performance of the firm on projects similar to those described in this announcement, including name and telephone number of the person who was the point of contact for the contract. 3. Specialized Experience and Technical Competence. Identify and describe the qualifications of key personnel whose professional registration, specialized experience and technical competence will be used to perform the work on this contract. 4. Capacity and Timeliness. Describe the capacity to accomplish the work in a. (timely manner and the ability to manage larger multi-phase projects or manage multiple small projects. 5. Knowledge of Locality and Geographic Proximity to Arizona/New Mexico. Selection criteria 1 and 2 are of equal importance and more important than the other criteria. The other criteria are shown in descending order of priority. Those firms interested in responding to this announcement must submit Standard Forms 254 and 255 Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire for Specific Project January 22, 2003.
