Description

The U.S. Geological Survey intends to negotiate on a sole source basis and award a purchase order (using FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures) to the University of Georgia in Athens, GA, for rental of lab, storage and office space for the period January 1, 2003 through December 31, 2003. The purpose is to obtain specialized laboratory, storage and office space required to support cooperative research conducted at the University. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes and there is no written solicitation for this requirement. It is coded "No Solicitation Number 03ER04." This notice may represent the only official notice of this requirement. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. A determination not to continue with this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive acquisition. Responses must be received by this office at the above address or by fax 703-648-7367 (Attn: David L. Batcheller) or via email (dbatchel@usgs.gov) no later than 1:00 p.m. on 12/18/2002. The NAICS code is 531190. The anticipated award date is 12/20/2002. Requisition No. 03-3302-0007.
