Description

NA The U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground ,USAYPG, AZ intends to negotiate and award a contract with Motorola Inc., U.S. Federal Government Markets Division, 7230 Parkway Drive, Hanover, Maryland 21076 on an other than full and open competition basis. The contrac t is required to upgrade and expand the capability of the existing Motorola Trunked Radio System at the USAYPG. This expansion will include the addition of 2 Rim II with Cables, 2 MCS2000 Series Mobile Radio, 2 UHF R1 10-25 Watts, Model I, 2 ENH: Smartnet System Software, 2 Control Station Operation, 2 Desk Microphone, 2 Antenna, 2 ENH: Smartnet System Software, 1MCS2000 RSS, Model I, 1 MCS2000 Programming Cable and the installation. The original system was designed and developed by Motorola Inc. and the items being acquired must have form, fit, and function compatibility with the system currently in existence at USAYPG. All data relative to the system is proprietary to Motorola Inc. Interested parties may submit technical literature showing their capabi lity of meeting the Government?s requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discreti on of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. See Note 22
