Description

The Social Security Administration intends to negotiate a sole source acquisition with Colonial Parking, 2145 K Street, NW, Washington, DC 20037 for the lease of parking spaces w/key cards and 24 hour access at two locations: 33 parking spaces at the International Trade Center Building, 500 E. Street, SW Washington DC 20024 and 10 parking spaces at 400 Virginia Avenue, SW Washington DC 20024. The period of performance is 01/01/03 through 12/31/03. Colonial Parking is the only known source of parking associated with these locations. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes including location of facility and information regarding security, card key access, etc. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within five business days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
