Description

The Defense Supply Center Richmond (DSCR) intends to issue a solicitation for a corporate contract covering various sole source aircraft parts to Barry Wright Controls, Cage Code 81860. The Bill of Material consists of NSNs listed under FSC 5342, 5365, 5826, 5841, 5975, and 6605. The Government physically does not have in its possession sufficient, accurate, or legible data to purchase these parts from other than the current source; and our records indicate that these parts must be purchased direct from the manufacturer or approved source, Barry Wright Controls. The solicitation will be issued as Unrestricted, Other Than Full and Open Competition in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304, (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1(b)(1)(i) and (2). The period of performance will cover up to ten years, including all option years. The proposed contract type will be an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity Contract (IDIQ). The guaranteed minimum, minimum order, maximum order, and maximum contract quantities or dollar values will be specified in the Request for Proposal (RFP). The proposed solicitation may contain a combination of NSNs maintained in DLA stock and/or proposed as Direct Vendor Delivery. RFP #SP0412-03-R-1541 may be released on or about January 30, 2003.
