Description

Specific technical questions related to this project may be answered by Roger Gerth at (251) 694-3708 or Mark Goddard at (251) 752-3571. Contracting Officer for this project will be Mr. Leo J. Hickman. Rental of Cutterhead Piepline Dredge with Attendant Plant and Operators for Principally The Black Warrior and Tombigbee River System, AL. The North American Industry Cla ssification System (NAICS) code for this project is 237990. Bid documents are available on or about December 30, 2002. Estimated cost of work is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Unrestricted. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be c onsidered. Note No. 1: Bidders, subcontractors and Dodge/Plan Rooms are requi red to self-register their firm or office on the Internet. Those registe ring are responsible for the accuracy of the information on the mailing list. Registration should be complet ed one week prior to the issue date. All notifications of changes to this solicitation shall be made through the Internet only. The plans and specifications will be issued on the Internet only and will be provided free of charge. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a printed-paper format; however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Government's best interest. Actual solicitation amendments will be issued either by fax or by posting for download to the aforementioned web page. Note No. 2: All bid forms, bid bonds, and other normal documents required for the bid submittal, including amendments to the bid submittal, shall be in paper medium. Electronic medium for the bid submittal documents will not be allowed. Note No. 3: Critical Path Method (Network An alysis System) is not required. Note No. 4: For this job, a small business is defined as having average annual receipts of less than $17,000,000 for the past three years.
