- Description
- The National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders, National Institutes of Health, is soliciting proposals to develop methods of protecting the remaining portions of the auditory system from degeneration after loss of hair cells and to improve its effectiveness in extracting information provided by auditory prostheses. Two four-year, cost-reimbursement type contracts are anticipated, with awards made on or about September 30, 2003. The solicitation will be issued on or about January 14, 2003, and will be posted on this Web site and at http://ocm.od.nih.gov/drc/rfp.htm. Offerors are responsible for routinely checking these Web sites for any amendments to the solicitation. Proposals will be due sixty days after the date of issuance of the solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by the Government. See Numbered Note 26.
