Description
The vendor shall supply a complete Signature Collation Monitoring system, attach it to existing GPO?s Gathering Machine, and train GPO Employees how to operate and maintain it. This system shall be attached between the Harris Gatherer and the Perfect Binding machine, currently being used by US Government Printing Office, to check for any defective signatures and prevent it from being bound. When the machine detects the bad set of signatures, the machine shall provide two features: It will stop the gatherer, or divert the bad sets without stopping gathering. This system shall work well with the existing Harris Gatherer ejects the bad book and continues collating signatures without stopping machine, Because the Gatherer ejects the bad book, nothing reaches at the camera module to be checked. In this case the Monitoring System shall not stop the Gatherer and it shall check the next book coming without interruption. This item shall be awarded under the simplified acquisition procedures as specified in the Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 13 to the responsible quoter whose price quotation is conforming to the RFQ and is most advantageous to the Government based on the lowest price quotation. All responsible sources shall submit a FOB destinations quotation and if timely received shall be considered. Specifications must be met exactly as written and will not be deviated from. Your returned proposal shall include the first page, FOB destination, the delivery and the Certification and Representations and any page that require written information. POTENTITIAL QUOTERS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DOWNLOADING THEIR OWN COPY OF THIS REQUEST FOR QUOTE AND AMENDMENTS (IF ANY) FROM THIS WEB SITE. NO TELEPHONE REQUEST WILL BE ACCEPTED.
