- 47--Heavy duty sandblast vacuum hose. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the purchase of heavy duty sandblast vacuum hose (URFLEX brand or equal) and is prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested, and a written quotation WILL NOT be issued. This announcement is issued as request for quotation N00102-03-Q-1313. The standard NAICS classification is 326220. This acquisition is reserved for small business. This quotation incorporates provisions and clauses effective through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-09 with changes effective 09/30/03 and DFARS current as of 10/25/02 and inclusive of DCN 20021025 effective 10/25/02. The required vacuum hose shall be URFLEX brand or equal as follows: Item 0001-URFLEX No. 1, 2-inch diameter, heavy duty sandblast vacuum hose, quantity 2,000 feet. Item 0002-URFLEX No. 1, 3-inch diameter, heavy duty sandblast vacuum hose, quantity 4,000 feet. Item 0003-URFLEX No. 1, 4-inch diameter, heavy duty sandblast vacuum hose, quantity 4,000 feet. Items 0001, 0002, and 0003 may be URFLEX brand or equal. If quoting an equivalent brand product, a sample must be provided with the quotation. The sample shall be tested inside a tank for durability under actual sandblast conditions; the sample hose will be subjected to sandblast grit both inside and outside the hose. The sample shall be two inches in diameter and shall be 100 feet long. Quotations received for an equivalent brand product without the required sample shall not be considered. Samples are not required for quotations for URFLEX brand hose. Pricing shall be FOB Destination (Portsmouth Naval Shipyard , Portsmouth, NH). The provisions at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors--Commercial, applies to this acquisition. Offerors are requested to include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3 and 252-212-7000, Offeror Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items, with quotations. The following clauses/provisions apply to this acquisition: 52.212-4, 52.212-5 (including 52.222-21, 52.222-22, 52.222-25, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, and 52.225-3), and 252.212-7001. (Note: Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) text is available at http://www.arnet.gov/far.) Quotations shall include the vendor?s cage code, DUNs number, and TIN (taxpayer identification number).
