Description

The Bureau of Reclamation has a requirement for turbine runner repair, loctated at new melones powerplant, new melones unit - east side division central valley project, California. The work is situated at new melones dam approximately 50 miles east of stockton, california in calaveras county. The work under this solicitation consists of repairing cavitation damage to one turbine runner and installing hanger fixtures in two draft tube liners. SITE VISITS: One site visit will be conducted for prospective bidders. The Government strongly recommends that all prospective bidders attend this site visit. Prospective bidders should register for the site visit by contacting the Construction Engineer, Bureau of Reclamation, MP Construction Office, PO Box 988, Willows CA 95988?0988, telephone (916) 934-7066. Neither of the two turbines will be un-watered during the site tour. The solicitation should be realeased on or about December 6, 2002.
