Description
NA Solicitation is extended to December 13, 2002. Addendum to the Wing Stand Narrative: Height adjustments are APPROXIMATELY 20? to 32? on the inboard side. It is imperative that the entire stand assembly matches the 7-degree dihedral of the KC-135E wing, and there is a height adjustment of 12?. Other than height adjustment, when positioned under the aircraft, the stands do not require to be mobile. The means of height adjustment are up to the manufacture, as long as it meets all requirements of OSHA and AFOSH standards. Our hangar dimensions are 155? Wide by 156? Long. Therefore, the sta nd assembly must break down into two to four manageable components. All required railings must be installed to comply with the requirements of OSHA and AFOSH standards, and must be removable. Regulated and conditioned air is supplied at the hangar walls. Air feed lines need to be at the outboard side of the stand. The air manifold needs be large enough to handle two pneumatic air drills, operating simultaneously, per wing. The requirement for electrical outlets have been deleted in its entirety. Addendum to the Dry-Bay Stands Narrative: The dry-bay stands may be built as a separate unit, or may be incorporated into the above wing stand design. We require the dry-bay stand to be largely constructed of aluminum, for durability, weight management, and maneuverability. Base construction may be aluminum, steel, or other material that will not significantly detract from maneuverability. If built as a separate unit from the wing stand, all required railings must be removable, and meet the requirements of OSHA and AFOSH standards. If built as a separate unit, the height, and adjustment capabilities of the dry-bay stand must match the wing stand stated above. If the wing stand and dry-bay stand are built separately, we require the railings between the two stands be removable, to form one contin uous platform. Air requirements will be identical to the addendum to the wing stand narrative. The requirement for electrical outlets have been deleted in its entirety. No other changes.
