Description

NA The work includes removal of approximately 1,7000,000 cubic yards of maintenance dredged material from a project channel with a width of 400 to 1,450 feet to a required depth of 42 feet below Mean Low Tide and 1 foot of allowable overdepth. In addition, t here is expected to be repairs to levees and dropoutlets at the placement areas. Pipeline (Deep Draft). The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this project is 237990. The Small Business Size Standard is $17 Million and will be advertised UNRESTRICTED. Bid Opening will be held in Room 175. The Galveston District's Subcontracting goals are: Small Business - 61.4%; Small Disadvantages Business - 9.1%, Woman-Owned Small Business - 5.0%; Veteran-Owned Small Business - 3.0%. The plans and specifications will be provided on compact disc (CD0-ROM) on the issue date. Notification of amendments shall be made through paper or the Internet. However, the Government reserves the right to use only the Internet as notification of any changes to this solicitation. It is the contractor's responsibility to register to receive a CD-ROM at the following address, and to check daily for any posted changes to this solicitation: http://www.swg.usace.army.mil/ct.
