Description
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport proposes to acquire by negotiation installation of Security Intrusion Detection Systems and related equipment for the Newport Division of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center. A one-year, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract with firm-fixed-price provisions is anticipated. The contract will also include two options for an additional one-year each, allowing for a total of three years of performance if both options are exercised. Contract performance is expected to begin in February 2003. The Government will evaluate proposals for best value based on Technical and Price proposals. Technical evaluation factors include Past Performance, Technical Capability and Price. The contractor shall provide all labor, personnel, vehicles, equipment and other supplies or services as necessary to provide a LENEL certified Security System(s). Personnel must either have or be capable of being cleared at the Secret Level. All materials shall be manufactured by LENEL or shall be compatible with and approved for use with LENEL systems. All work shall be performed by LENEL certified and licensed electricians. Additionally the contract will call for the installation of other aspects of physical security such as cipher locks, standard removable cores manufactured by BEST Lock Corporation. Previously, similar services and materials have been purchased from Aquidneck Lock and Security Systems of Portsmouth, RI. This acquisition is set-aside 100% for small business. All work to be performed will take place at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, RI. NAICS: 561621. Our department no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form.
