Description
In the four two-story District Courtrooms on the 14th floor of the E.M. Dirksen Federal Building the scope of work includes but is not limited to upgrading existing metal halide fixtures both in wattage and lumens by replacement of lamps and ballasts. Replace or clean reflectors on both fluorescent and metal halide fixtures in ceiling. Add approximately 6 new metal halide fixtures to increase lighting levels in jury box, spectator?s area, and arena. Provide dimming capability for both fluorescent and metal halide fixtures. Provide a new touch-screen type control console that will include controls for on-off lighting control, dimming control, pre-set scenes, and audio-visual controls. For phasing purposes, only one courtroom shall be taken out of commission at a time. Estimated cost range between $100,000 and $400,000. NAICS is 235310. This is a negotiated procurement NOT sealed bid, and is open to all. The solicitation CD will be available on or about December 1, 2002. The General Services Administration, PBS, Great Lakes Region, Property Management Division, Contract Services Branch, 5PMC, no longer issues construction solicitations via the Federal Business Opportunities website http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The subject solicitation includes Sensitive But Unclassified building information (SBU). For reasons of security and before release of SBU information, the requester must complete and sign the attached Document Security Notice to Prospective Bidders/Offerors. In addition, all of the following information must be submitted and/or provided by the requester via the spaces provided in the Notice. 1. Copy of business license. 2. Company Dun and Bradstreet number. 3. Valid Tax Identification. 4. A valid picture state driver?s license (for persons(s) picking up SBU documents). The Notice shall be submitted to Jill Slechter at the address cited in this notice. No e-mail copies will be accepted; however facsimiles will be accepted. After verification of the preceding information, the requester will be designated as an authorized user and a copy of the solicitation will be released in compact disc form to the requester. Please read the notice carefully as it contains additional requirements and information regarding SBU building information.
