Description

The Government intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis with Clewes Technical Services, Nottingham, NJ to provide the following service: Labor and material to renew a generator breaker, install a ground detection system for the 600 V propulsion bus and other switchboard repairs. 1 job. Performance shall begin January 6, 2003 and be completed by January 10, 2003. Delivery to be F.O. B. Destination to the NOAA Ship RON BROWN, U.S. Coast Guard Pier "P" Charleston, SC. Authority: 41 USC 253(c)(1). The FSC for this is L020 and the NAICS Code is 541990, small business size standard is $6.0 million. Clewes Technical Services is the only know source capable of providing the required repairs. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Evidence must be provided of ability to provide the required system. Copies of the solicitation will only be posted on FEDBIZOPPS. Telephone requests will not be honored.
