Description

The U. S. Postal Service is soliciting proposals from selected prequalified contractors for the renovation of approximately 2,000 square feet of office space at the M. L. Sellers P&DC in San Diego, CA. The work includes metal stud framing with gypsum board walls, carpet, acoustical lay-in tile, lighting, mechanical and electrical. The work is to be completed in 30 days after notice to proceed. Estimated range is $100,000-$130,000. This is an owned facility. The proposal must contain the offeror's overhead, profit, bonds, insurance, and all other contingencies. No allowance for such items will be made after contract award. The minority subcontracting goal for this contract will be 11%. Offers will not be publicly opened. All proposal information will remain confidential until award. This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the authority of the U. S. Postal Service Purchasing Manual, Issue 1 dated 1/31/97. The selected prequalified general contractors are: Berry Contractors, Inc., 1921C W. 11th St., Upland CA 91786-3599; Earl Corp., 199 S. Hudson Ave., Pasadena CA 91101-2998; Stevens Construction Inc., 530 W. Avenue L, Lancaster CA 93534-7199.
