Description

NA The U.S. Army Engineer District, New Orleans, has a requirement for a contractor to furnish all labor and material, fuel, oil, and dock facilities to replace the port and starboard 8V71N Detroit main engines and Allison M20 LH and RH marine gears (transmis sions) in strict accordance with specifications. DACW29-03-T-0007 is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This requirement is being procured as a firm fixed price contract under FAR 12, Commercial Item. The NAICS code is 423860 and the business si ze is 500 employees including affiliates. . This request for quote is issued as 100% small business set aside. All interested parties may request a complete solicitation package by fax, 504-862-2889. Request for this solicitation shall be in writing, s tating the solicitation number, complete company name, point of contact, address, area code and telephone number and facsimile number. No telephone requests will be accepted. Quotes are due on or about November 20, 2002. NOTE: Contractor must be regist ered with Central Contractor Registration to be eligible for contract award or payment from any DOD activity. Information on registration may be obtained by calling 1-800-334-3414 or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Registration requires applicant s to have a DUNS number from Dun & Bradstreet. Registering may take up to three weeks to process. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award.
