- NA COST COMPARISON STUDY OF PUBLIC WORKS, FORT LEWIS, WASHINGTON. An A-76 Cost Comparison Study is being conducted for specified services currently performed by Government personnel for Fort Lewis Public Works, Fort Lewis, Washington. The study is in accordan ce with OMB Circular A-76, Performance of Commercial Activities, to determine the most cost-effective mode of operation, i.e., continued performance by Government employees or by a contract performed by a commercial entity. A contract will not be awarded i f Government performance is determined to be more advantageous. The Contractor shall plan, program, administer, manage and execute the work necessary to provide Real Property Maintenance Activities which include maintenance and repair of real property; min or construction; and environmental support to all organizations, subordinate units and assigned military organizations. A revised copy of the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and the Technical Exhibits is posted for review by potential offerors on the Dire ctorate of Contracting web site at www.lewis.army.mil/doc. Provide review comments on the PWS to Olive Lenney at lenneyo@lewis.army.mil no later than 12:00 noon 22 November 2002. The Contracting Office at Fort Lewis, Washington, anticipates issuing a Reque st for Proposal on or about 5 December 2002 with a Preproposal Conference/Site Visit anticipated during the week of 16 December 2002. Any resultant contract will have a performance period, which includes a 60-day phase-in, a base year and four option perio ds.
